No 1 QUEEN
THE PROPHETS SONG
I remember digging through mum's cassette collect when I was a kid and finding a copy of 'A Night At The Opera’ The whole album was killer but this is the song that I couldn't stop listening to. I am a big fan of epic songs and this is the cream of the epic crop.
No 2 LED ZEPPLIN
SINCE I'VE BEEN LOVING YOU
The first 2 albums I asked for in my early teenage years were a Led Zepplin best of and Black Sabbath's Paranoid. Every song on both these albums is incredible bit one of the biggest stand out tracks is 'Since I've Been Loving You'. The dynamic and groove in this song are huge.
No 3 ANI DEFRANCO
SWIM
I was introduced to Ani Defranco by a close friend in my mid-20s. I find her music incredibly powerful and full of honesty and emotion. The song 'Swim' was always a stand out for me. So much so that we have done our own arrangement of the song and perform it live in our set.

HAIR
The Hair movie soundtrack was my first taste of some seriously funky rhythm section playing. The bass lines are killer and I knew I wanted to be able to play like that someday... I'm still working on it.
No 5 THE METERS
PEOPLE SAY
The Meters are currently on high rotation in my car at the moment and they are having a big influence on my song writing at the moment. Simple solid grooves that just work and get my foot tapping.
