Soulful raconteur Mama Kin and Melbourne multi-instrumentalist/producer Spender have joined forces to proudly announce the first taste of their united front Mama Kin Spender with the first single ‘Air Between Us’.
A crescendo-building, soulful pop tune backed by a choir, this marks a taste of what’s to come when the duo release their full album ‘Golden Magnets’in March 2018.

Gearing up to play a string of festivals and showcase performances, the duo is ready to roll out the block party good times, lighting up stages with the support of local choirs to amplify their unique sound and punctuate the vocal arrangements.
Successful artists in their own right, Mama Kin (aka Danielle Caruana) -an ARIA an AIR award nominee - and Tom Spender known for his previous roles in Custom Kings and Offcuts, as well as via collaborations with Gotye and Clairy Browne, are hereby united as a powerhouse duo. A long time coming, this artistic collaboration pairs long-time friends and touring partners, Mama Kin and Spender in a mischief-making musical partnership.
Their first co-write appeared on Mama Kin’s debut album, ‘Beat and Holler’, and the two reunited for the rich gothic harmony of‘One Night Upon A Cold Rooftop’,again backed by a flawless choir. They toured together in support of Mama Kin’s sophomore album ‘The Magician’s Daughter’ and they now return as a force of brooding guitars, primal drums and howling harmonies.
